Marble Sorter
Our marble sorter sought to first sort the wood and metal marbles first using some of the magnet blocks and a fan. The glass marbles would be read using a photoresistor into three separate holding cells. Because our group was in 4th period, we had to improvise more as there was a lack of fischertechnik parts, the funnel was made out of two paper plates and though not pictured we created a "dark room" for the photoresistor as to try to get more accurate readings. We tried to utilize two pnumatic pistons and a pump, but there was issues with the one way valve so we couldn't get pressure in the chambers.
3.1.5 Variable Functions
Conclusion:
1) One would need to reset the values to zero by right clicking to open the menu.
2) In industrial engineering a foreman would need to know rate of production for units produced in a factory.
3.1.3 Basic Programming
Conclusion:
1)The best way to make sure that the devices are wired into the correct ports is to doubloe check twice.
2) It is important to label the functions so if there are problems in your program you can identify them easily

3.1.4 Bransh Functions
Conclusioin
1. It is important to include branhces in functions so the program can be much more complex.
2.Water sensors would be normally open beacuse water flows continously into cities and such.
3. A normally closed switch would be a light switch because most of the day they're off.
Money Ball
1) The moneyball aproach is to look at the onbase percentage inorder to evaluate players. The process is definitely more of a science
3 Design is the way something is created for aesthetics or functionality.
4. Project lead the way
a)The scouts try to identify the problem of the teams low income and win record to try to imorove these stats.
b)Trading Giambi after a couple of games is refining the design.
c)Beane and the owner of the team discussed the contriants they had with money so they wouldnt be in debt.
5 leadership is the ability to wield power and improve
a) direction
b) alignment
c) commitment
6.instances in leadership
a) Aligning with the statistion to make better descions of who to choose
b) Commitment- not taking 25 mil contract with the Boston Redsocks
b) Commitment- not taking 25 mil contract with the Boston Redsocks
c) Direction trading Giambi to better improve the team
7.76-51
8. ~1.5:1
9. 20 games
10. 59.84% win percentage ^20 = 0.003466%
11. There was definitely something to the moneyball approach as the rest of the team in baseball started to use the model.
12. The management approach was a blend of both art and science, for example firing Giambi when he starts to get rowdy in the locker room. This desicion wouldn't have been made if Beane was just looking at stats and not considering the overall health of the team.
